Selection Process
The selection process consists of multiple stages designed to assess the candidate’s physical ability, basic literacy, and technical skills where applicable.
Physical Efficiency Test
This is the first stage of selection where candidates are tested on physical performance. It includes running, high jump, long jump, and shot put. Marks are awarded based on performance in each activity.
Hindi Writing Test
Candidates who qualify in the physical test will be required to appear for a Hindi writing test. The level of the test is Class 7 for rural candidates and Class 10 for urban candidates. The total marks are 100, and candidates must score at least 30 marks to qualify.
Technical Skill Test
This stage applies only to candidates applying under the urban technical category. Candidates must demonstrate their skills in areas such as computer operation, driving, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and similar trades.
Final Selection
The final merit list is prepared based on overall performance. Selected candidates will undergo medical examination and character verification. After successful completion, they will be enrolled and given training before deployment.
Additional Marks for Sports Achievements
Candidates who have represented at state or national level in sports are given additional marks, which can improve their position in the merit list.
