ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) Syllabus

For ANM, the exam will consist of 100 objective-type questions, divided into three subjects:

General Science covers the basic principles of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology along with topics related to health and hygiene.

General Knowledge includes current affairs, Indian History, Geography and Culture, and basic knowledge of the environment.

Mathematics (Basic Level) includes Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry, Simple and Compound Interest, Percentage and Profit & Loss, and Ratio and Proportion.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) Syllabus

For GNM, the exam will consist of 150 objective-type questions, with topics from English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.

English includes important topics such as Idioms and Phrases, Sentence Improvement, Synonyms and Antonyms, Sentence Arrangement, Spotting Errors, Active and Passive Voice, Fill in the Blanks, Passage Completion, and Error Correction (Underlined Part).

Physics covers Mathematical Methods, Classical Mechanics, Relativity, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Thermodynamics, Nuclear and Particle Physics, Electromagnetic Theory, and Electronics and Experimental Physics.

Chemistry includes General Chemistry and Structure of Atom, Electrochemistry and Periodicity, Solid State, Solutions and Classification of Elements, Chemical Bonding and Surface Chemistry, Redox Reactions and Chemical Kinetics, States of Matter, Thermodynamics and Coordination Compounds, and Organic Chemistry including Hydrocarbons, Biomolecules, and Carboxylic Acids.

Biology consists of Embryology of Angiosperms, Plant Physiology, Biochemistry and Growth Hormones, Ecology along with Pteridophytes and Gymnosperms, Anatomy of Angiosperms, Algae, Fungi and Plant Diseases, and Cell Biology including Viruses.

Mathematics includes Relations and Functions, Logarithms, Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations and Sequences, Trigonometry and Cartesian System, Statistics and Differentiation, Permutations and Combinations with Vectors, Probability, Limits and Continuity, and Matrices, Determinants, and Integrals.
